My Favourite Fridge Containers That Actually Keep Produce Fresh Longer

If you’ve ever opened the fridge and found slimy spinach or sad veggies after just a few days, this one’s for you.

Over the years, I’ve tried so many containers. I have tried cheaper ones, more expensive ones, and these are the ones I keep coming back to week after week. I bought these about 3–4 years ago and love them so much. Using the right containers has helped my produce last longer, reduced food waste, and honestly made my fridge feel calmer and easier to use. It isn’t just about a Pinterest-worthy fridge.

One thing about what comes into my kitchen and what I recommend,  it needs to last and not be thrown out within a few months. Both these items are long-term items and still perfect.

These are the containers I use week after week:

Little Label Co Containers:

I use the Fridge Organisers ( I have a code below). Here is why I love them:

  • They have a removable tray at the bottom to keep your veggies and fruit etc. from sitting on the base and in any condensation, which helps to keep them fresher.

  • Stackable, which means you can save on space in the fridge by stacking them up.

  • They are clear on the sides, which means you can see exactly what is inside. If you can’t see it, then it’s super easy to forget it is there. I never use containers in my fridge I can’t see through, this really helps with reducing food waste and things going bad.

  • Vent holes at the top for different ingredients to help keep them fresh.
My fruit and veg stay fresher, crisper and tastier by using these containers, and all the different sizes mean I can easily fit what I need.

Now, these are not the cheapest on the market, but I have tried the cheapest and honestly didn’t like them at all. By spending a little more, which, remember, you can start slowly over time collecting them, which is what I did, you will have containers that should last you years and years, not months. For me, this is important. I hate buying things that then just break and I have to replace. I would rather save and invest in things that are good quality and last a long time.

You can get them here with a 10% off code on your orders using code: ASHLEYP this is an affiliate link but I purchased these all myself 3-4 years ago these are not gifted items. I asked for a code since I loved them so much and know so many people wanted to purchase them.

Just one tip do not put these in the dishwasher, they can simply be washed by hand.

Glass Food Storage Containers:

These are my most used container in the freezer or for left overs and berries etc. . I got them from Amazon about 2 years ago and have used them constantly since. Why I love them:

  • The sizing which to some people may seem small but one of the biggest reasons for freezer burn is using the wrong size storage. If it has alot of room inside that is just empty that creates a little pocket of air which causes freezer burn. So these containers while not massive are usually perfect for 1 serve of food and keep things fresher.
  • I like to use these or my other glass containers for berries as I find they stay fresher for longer in the glass compared to plastic
  • The click locks on the side are great especially for storing things in the freezer or fridge so that they stay fresh and don't spill. I have some containers that the lids push on and they never seem to stay in place that well
  • Being glass they can go in the fridge, freezer, microwave and usually the oven you just need to check the glass if it can do but most can
  • I can also put these in the dishwasher which is amazing for easy clean up

You can purchase the containers here, they have a lot of different size options etc so just see what works for you.
