Ingredients
-
1 Baguette Loaf
-
1 180g Brie Wheel pick your fav
-
1 jar of Fig Spread I use St Dalfour but you can use any
-
1-2 Tsp of honey
-
A few sprigs of rosemary
-
1 - 2 Tsp of butter
-
1/4 cup of walnuts
Directions
Preheat your oven to 180°C
Cut your baguette into slices at least one centimeter or so thick and add some butter
Slice your brie cheese into slices and cut the longer ones in half then place about two slices of each on your baguette with the butter side facing up. You just want enough to cover the base of the baguette, but don’t overfill it otherwise the cheese will melt off the side.
Pop into the oven to bake for about five minutes just until the cheese starts getting nice and melty, you may have a little bit that goes over the side, but don’t worry about that. We just want them to be nicely melted and warm, but we don’t want them to burn so keep an eye on them.
Once spoke to take them out and carefully placed them on your serving putter. Don’t be silly like me and use your fingers as they can be quite hot.
Get your fig spread and spoon about a teaspoon on each baguette add a couple of walnuts on top drizzle with honey, and pop a tiny sprig of thyme on top.

FAQ & Notes:
Q. Can I use any Fig Spread I like?
A. Yes most definitely if you have a favourite brand use what you like, there is even ones that are fig and balsamic or other mixes etc.
Q. Should I serve/eat them warm?
A. Yes I recommend to eat these warm, they only take a few minutes to bake up so you won't be stuck in the kitchen for hours. You could even prep the toast ahead of time (as long as you don't leave it out to go stale) and then just bake them when guests arrive
