You have to try this dessert toasted sandwich, it is delicious, super simple to make and would be a great Sunday morning Breakfast option to switch things up too.
Ingredients
- ๐ 1 Small Banana
- ๐ 2 Tsp of Honey ๐ฏ
- ๐ Cinnamon Sugar
-
๐ 2 Pieces of your fav bread*
-
๐ Aprox 1 Tbsp Butter*
- ๐ 2 Tbsp Ricotta
Directions
- ๐ฏ Cut your banana into slices about 1/2cm thick but no need for measure
- ๐ฏ Add them to a pan on low heat with a little bit of butter (use a small one or one that just fits your banana) and add the honey I didnโt measure but about 2tsp should be enough
- ๐ฏ let them cook away on low temp flipping half way for about 5 or so minutes until they are golden brown. Cook them low so they donโt just burn
- ๐ฏ Meanwhile butter the outside of your bread and add about 1-2 tbsp of ricotta depending how big your bread is but you want a nice layer covering your bread
- ๐ฏ Once the bananas are done add them to your bread, they will be soft so i just used a small spatula but a spoon would work too just donโt touch them with your fingers they are hot
- ๐ฏ Pop the bread on top sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on top and back into the pan (clean it off first if there is honey left over as it will burn) then add some cinnamon sugar to the other side
- ๐ฏ It will only need about 2 minutes a side as we only need to mamlke our bread a bit golden we arenโt melting cheese and we donโt want the cinnamon sugar to burn. Flip it over and once done enjoy ๐

Recipe Note
- I used Pana Di Casa I probably wouldnโt use a seeded/multigrain one for this
- The butter is for your banana's to cook and also the outside of your sandwich 1 tbsp is just a estimate you don't need to weigh it out just ensure you add a little but to the pan and cover the outside of your bread in a layer
- Please be careful with the caramelised banana's as they are soft but also hot from the honey so don't touch them with your fingers
- This isn't super sweet but you can add more honey if you like
