Chocolate for breakfast? Yes please! These Chocolate Banana Pancakes are delicious, filling and can be made ahead of time which is great for those busy mornings
Ingredients
- π₯ 1 Banana
- π₯ 2 Eggs
- π₯ A splash of vanilla essence
- π₯ 70g plain flour
- π₯ A good Tbsp of Cocoa
- π₯ 60ml milk
- π₯ 1/4 tsp of cinnamon powder
Directions
- π₯ Mash your banana into a bowl & add the 2 eggs give that a little mix together i do this to make sure the egg mixes in properly
- π₯ Then add flour, vanilla, cocoa & milk and mix together i like to use a whisk to do this so it goes nice and smooth
- π₯ Add half to your pan with a tiny bit of olive oil or butter whichever you prefer & cook on a lower temp until it starts to bubble and is slightly set then flip it over and cook on the remaining side for another 1-2 minutes. If your pan is big enough you can do both
- π₯ Repeat with remaining batter & enjoy π
Recipe Note
- This is a dish I make when I need to take something on the go as well since it is easy to eat, doesn't need to really be kept hot or cold. I just have the pancake by itself instead of with the yogurt
- This will make 2 pancakes about 12cm, if you want 1 just halve the recipe if you want more just double etc
- This recipe is not for a sweet pancake, if you prefer a sweet version then you can add some maple syrup on top or even add a tsp or 2 to the batter or a spoon of sugar.
- I find a whisk really helps to incorporate all the ingredients together but you can use a for if you don't have one
