When I made my Berry Compote this was exactly what I had in mind for it, warm creamy delicious oats with a scoop of that delicious Berry Compote on top & sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. It is perfect for those Autumn and Winter mornings when you feel like something warm and comforting.

Ingredients
-
🥣 3/4 of a cup of traditional oats, I use Uncle Toby’s brand*
-
🥣 1 cup of milk of your choice
-
🥣 A tsp of cinnamon sugar or regular sugar if you don’t like cinnamon
-
🥣 2 Tbsp of Berry Compote*
Directions
🥣 Add oats & milk to a saucepan on low-medium heat
🥣 Cook away until thick and milk has absorbed it only takes a few minutes, stir throughout so it doesn’t burn or stick. It only takes about 5 minutes depending on your Oats
- 🥣 Add into your bowl top with cinnamon sugar or regular sugar if you don’t like cinnamon
🥣 Add the homemade compote on top & enjoy

Expert Tips, Variations and FAQ's:
- I use the Uncle Toby's Traditional Oats for this recipe and recently switched over to them. They cook so much easier and become lovely and creamy with ease. The other brand I used to have just doesn't compare so a good quality brand does make a difference for that creamy porridge vibe.
- Add as much or as little compote as you like. It isn't super sweet so I like to add in the cinnamon sugar
