Golden Air-fryer Fish no coating

Now this isn't as such a recipe but more a how to get delicious golden fish on the outside but soft on the inside without adding any coating, using your air-fryer to cook it. It's my favourite way to make fish and I love how it comes out golden brown without any bread crumbs etc.

I love how this fish cooks like it has a crispy coating when really it is simply the herbs

Golden Air-fryer Fish no coating

Ingredients

  • 1 Piece of White Fish

  • Herbs of choice I used garlic powder, onion powder, paprika & oregano (*See Notes)

  • Olive Oil Spray

Directions

  1. Pat your fish dry especially if you defrosted it as it will have excess water

  2. Sprinkle your herbs over your fish on both sides and spray with olive oil. I actually coat and spray one side then put that coating side down on the tray (with the air-fryer off) and then carefully add the herbs and oil to coat the other side. I don't measure my herbs I just simply sprinkle them over the top. See notes

  3. Cook in the air-fryer for about 15 mins on 180°C or until cooked and golden brown (you can use a fry pan or oven too if you like ). If you are cooking more pieces it may take a little longer but check after 15 mins. If cooking in the oven still cook on 180°C and you may need to flip it over if its cooking on a baking tray so that both sides brown

  4. That's it super simply and delicious
