Easy mini charcuterie cups filled with cheese, crackers, fruit and deli favourites. A stylish, quick entertaining idea perfect for Christmas or gatherings. These also help with reducing your food waste, since we have Christmas in Summer those big cheese platters can go to waste so easily because of the heat. This way everyone gets an individual one and you can restock if you need to while keeping the extras in the fridge
Ingredients
-
1 Bag of Pretzels
-
1 Punnet of Strawberries
-
1 Punnet of Blueberries
-
1 Small tub Bocconcini (approx. 200g)
-
1 200g Container of Cherry or small tomatoes
-
1 Pack of Salami (16 slices)
-
1 Small brie cheese
-
1 Pack of Olives
-
1 Small block of Cheese (any cheddar or tasty flavour)
-
4 Grissini Sticks
-
4 Chocolate Wafers
Tools:
-
4 x Glasses (use any you have)
-
Skewers a mix of smaller and medium size
Directions
Get a glass any kind, I used these beautiful ones from The Celebration Society and i like that it has the stem but its not too fragile. But honestly use what you have anything will do even a cup if you need
Add some pretzels in the bottom of the cup to give it height so you can see what’s inside you can add more if needed but about a small handful in each
Now make your skewers, I did mini tomatoes with cheese cut into cubes (i’ve also done bocconcini), brie cut into little triangles with olives, fruit skewer of blueberries & strawberries. The only thing you need to cut is the cheese into cubes and brie into triangles, then cut the tops off your strawberries
Simply use the skewer to go through the middle of each piece you are adding, it should be quite easy to add on. Add one piece from the bottom and push it up to the top then add the next. You want to alternate between at least 2 items on each skewer
To make the salami stick i used 4 pieces of salami and fold each piece into 4 and then place the skewer through the middle with the folded edge towards the back so the open side faces forward and place them all in a row on the skewer and separate the folds a little so it looks full
Add your wafer and grissini at the back. And your done! Enjoy

FAQ's & Notes:
- This is one I would prep to serve, you can make your skewers etc in advance and leave them in the fridge but putting it in the glass I would do before I am going to serve it. This was we can keep the items in the fridge as needed but also the pretzels won't go soggy.
- If you are going to use things like watermelon etc just be mindful they are more watery and may drip onto your pretzels underneath
Q. Can I use any fruit or cheese etc I like?
A. Of course you can tailor this however you like and you can even tailor it to peoples individual taste. I you have one person that likes blue cheese you can make some skewers of blue cheese for them. Have someone that just loves raspberry as a fruit just make raspberries fruit skewers etc
Q. Can I make Smaller ones?
A. Yes you can make even smaller ones too, if you are using a smaller cup just use smaller skewers too
Q. Can I use crackers instead of pretzels?
A. Yep you can do for sure, I liked the idea of pretzels as they are delicious plain but crackers are a great addition too, you could even serve mini dips on the side too for people to use. You could also add nuts etc. The base is really just something dry and to add height.
Q. Can I add sweet things?
A. Yes adding a sweet stick would be so nice you could do chocolate covered strawberries, some mini brownies of even mini cupcakes etc. Anything you can poke the stick in is perfect. Or even some shortbread sticks too
