One of my fav easy dinners are bao buns and my prawn version is delicious
Ingredients
-
6 x Mr Chens Bao Buns or your favourite brand
-
18 fresh or defrosted Prawns I use the frozen ones defrosted
-
6 Sprigs of Coriander
-
Coconut Siracha Sauce*
-
Sliced Jalapenos*
Directions
- Steam your bao buns as per the instructions on the pack
While steaming Cook your Prawns, I added garlic, paprika & onion powder with a little salt and pepper to mine before frying off in a high heat pan until cooked
Once both are cooked pull apart the bao buns and add Jalapeños on the bottom as many as you like. I use the marco polo brand its my fav
Now add your prawns I find about 3 prawns fit well. Just don’t forget to cut the tails off before adding to the bun if yours has them
Add a drizzle of the Siracha sauce and Corriander to top it off

Recipe Note
- The coconut siracha is from Marion's Kitchen and the sliced Jalapenos are from Marco Polo. Both available in Australia. If you can't find the coconut siracha just use a normal siracha or chili sauce
- If you don't like chili you can use a may or even a thousand island etc that will go well with the prawns
