A quick and easy lunch option which you can have 2 to make it more filling. A cheats Za’atar naan topped with fresh tomato and red onion. Simple to assemble and full of flavour, perfect for sharing or serving alongside meals.
Ingredients

15 Cherry Tomatoes approx. 225g

¼ of red onion chopped

2 Tsps of Za’atar Spice (see note 1*)

2.5 Tsp of Olive Oil
Directions
Mix your za’atar spice with your olive oil. You mix equal parts of each so if you need more of the spice mixture just do the 1:1 ratio
Heat up your Naan bread in a dry pan on a medium heat (not too high and cook for about 2 minutes flipping halfway through
Chop your tomatoes and red onion and mix together with about ½ tsp of olive oil and add a good dash of salt & pepper
Once you have flipped once after a minute add the za’atar spread on top of the naan while the other side heats through
Once done move onto a plate and add your tomato mix and serve right away

@_ashleysplace_ I decided to randomly make this for lunch yesterday and it was delicious 😋 I made Za’atar Bread using the @Simson’s Pantry Naan Bread & added some chopped up tomatoes & red onion for freshness Za’atar bread is one of my favourite things to eat when I used to work in corporate one of my colleagues and I would get it fresh from the bakery and bring it in to work for eachother it was so good 😋 And it’s honestly easy to replicate at home, you can make the spice yourself if you like but I just have one that I purchased and its perfect 👌 How to make it: 🫓 Mix equal parts of za’atar & olive oil in a bowl. 1 Naan bread is about 1.5tsp of spread 🫓 Chop your tomatoes & red onion as much as you would like to add on top & add a dash of olive oil & a good dash of salt & pepper 🫓 Start to warm your naan on a dry pan on a medium heat for about 2 minutes flipping halfway through. - Za'atar spice is a popular middle eastern spice that is absolutely delicious. You can get it in most supermarkets in Australia although I personally haven't tried them otherwise you can get it from specialty stores or middle eastern grocers.

A. Nope you can use anything you like for this one, flat breads, pizza bases, Lebanese bread etc
