These are sooo yum! And would even be delicious on a cheese platter too.
Ingredients
-
1 block of Halloumi cheese 225g
-
1/4 cup plain flour
-
1/4 cup Bread crumbs
-
1/2 tsp of sweet paprika
-
1/2 Tsp of Garlic powder
-
1/4 Tsp of Onion Powder
-
1 tsp of oregano
-
Cut your Halloumi into 1cm pieces my block came in half already and I cut about 4 chips from each side so 8 in total
Directions
Cut your chips chips into 1cm long pieces see video
Pat dry to take off the excess moisture
Beat egg, add herbs to the bread crumbs and give a good mix
Dip your Halloumi pies into flour, then into eggs, then bread crumbs making sure it is all coated
Spray with oil if you have the spray bottle if no pour some over just try to coat it but not drench it which is why I like the spray Coat both sides
Pop into the Air fryer spaced out so not touching if possible
Cook at 200C for 8 mins or until golden brown, check half way and flip is needed

Recipe Note
- These are best enjoyed hot while the cheese is still warm so serve right away
- You can use any dipping sauce you like with these I used a Chili & Garlic Sauce for mine that was delicious but even a nice mayo or ranch could go well
- You can reheat these if you need which I would do in the airfryer
