My easy edible gold decorations made using gold luster dust with Maltesers, popcorn and more. Perfect for topping cupcakes, cookies and Christmas baking. They are such a simple way to decorate for Christmas etc without having to go to too much effort, but the best part they actually taste good too.
Ingredients
-
1 Pack of Maltesers
-
1 small container of Gold Luster Dust (See note 1*)
-
1 Small pack of Popcorn
-
1 Ziplock Bag
Directions
Get your Ziplock bag and add as many Maltesers as you need to decorate. I was using mine for 12 cupcakes so I do about 12. But you can also do the whole pack
Add in a small amount of luster dust you only need about 1/8 of a tsp or so, you can always add more and it actually goes quite far
Zip lock the bad up and give it a good shake around, it doesn’t take long and the chocolates will be covered and a beautiful gold colour. Take them out and pop to the side or use them right away to decorate
Add in the popcorn to the same bag and shake around to get up all the extra luster dust. You can add more if you like but shake it around first and then add more if you like as it goes quite far
That’s it, use them to decorate your goodies and you have beautiful, delicious gold chocolate & gold popcorn
